Unique advantages of The Montessori
School at Holy Rosary
Offers primary, elementary, and adolescent programs
Your child benefits from the continuity of educational approach and
intimate community. One teacher typically spends three or more years with
a child, becoming keenly tuned in to their unique personality. Multi-age
classrooms stimulate social and intellectual groups and a profound
sense of belonging.
Enriching urban setting
It is our mission to maintain a blend of culturally and economically
diverse students. Children learn to enjoy and appreciate children
and families who are different from their own, preparing them for life
in the larger society.
Nurtures the spirit
Dr. Montessori observed that young children naturally desire to draw
close to God. Spiritual life and growth is enriched through the
"Catechesis of the Good Shepherd", offered as part of daily
life in our classrooms.
For those families who choose to participate in the catechetical
program, the Montessori School at Holy Rosary has dedicated an area,
an 'atrium', in each classroom with a "prepared environment" for helping the relationship
between God and the child to flourish. The atrium is a
place for religious life, for community and worship, not a classroom for
instruction. The atrium is a place of work which becomes a
conversation with God.
Located in University Circle
During the elementary and middle school years, children explore and learn during visits to
world-class museums and institutions. The neighborhood of Little
Italy is filled with rich discoveries for children, from art galleries
to bakeries. Find out more about our
school.
All Day Montessori
To serve full-time working parents, our all-day program maintains a
Montessori approach. Children live in the Montessori prepared
environment which includes room for play, music, cooking, exercise and
dramatics.
"We shall walk together on this path of
life, for all things are part of the universe, and are connected with
each other to form one whole unity." Maria Montessori |
